About Me

Hi. I am Sandhosh Kumar, an adventurer by heart, born in the small port town of Pondicherry in South India. I spent most of my schooling years in Chennai, India and moved to Singapore for my undergraduate degree, where I have lived for the past 9 years. After working at Barclays Capital for over three and half years, I left a lucrative career to take up the formidable challenge of climbing Everest for a cause. In September 2010, I plan to pursue my MBA in the United States, at the prestigious Kellogg, Northwestern University.

I have always been an adrenalin chaser and I developed a fascination for snow-capped mountains over the last few years. Check out my blog for a story on my first climb and how I got hooked. Once I got addicted to climbing, there was no stopping. I wanted to summit the highest and toughest of mountains, quenching my thirst for bigger challenges.

As I climbed more, I realized that the chase for personal quest alone wasn't enough. There are many problems in this world and I wanted my climbs to mean more. Hence, I embarked on a journey to highlight the problem closest to my heart, the problem of child sexual abuse, which is especially prevalent in India, while I attempt to scale the highest mountain in the world.

Follow me on this journey as I attempt to reach the highest point in the world to raise funds and awareness for the prevention of child sex abuse in India.

My expedition intends to challenge our society to change its attitude and break the silence against child abuse. Together we can instil hopes on those facing the biggest mountain of their own lives. Your support towards this is much appreciated.

How can you help?

You can :

  • provide your financial support by donating whatever amount you could, through online
  • lend your moral support by pledging to break the silence against Child Sexual Abuse (CSA); and
  • learn more about CSA and spread this message and about this website to your friends and well wishers.
